Starting a new year always brings a mix of emotions for me. January 2026 was especially poignant as I found myself reflecting deeply on Mum’s passing. She had a gentle love for flowers, butterflies, and fuchsia tones—elements that now quietly inspire much of my crafting. This year, my creative journey feels intertwined with her memory, and I want to share how these personal moments shape my work and the themes I explore throughout the months ahead.
January: Quiet Beginnings and Thoughtful Planning
January is often a quiet month for craft stalls, but for me, it’s a time to pause and plan. I spent these weeks thinking about what to create for February and beyond. Mum’s love of flowers and butterflies gently nudges my ideas toward delicate resin crafts that capture those natural details. It’s a comforting way to keep her close while preparing for the busy months ahead. It also inspired me to push my knowledge and get the Sphere Moulds, Silica Crystals and start the memorial Flowers and Dog memorial keyrings alongside the Cancer Research Angels with the different Cancer Colours or just Birthstone colours.
February: Love in Many Forms
February brings Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year, and Love Your Pet Day. These events inspire themes of romance, companionship, and affection. I enjoy making resin hearts and couples keepsakes, often adding small customizations like initials or dates. Pet memorials also find a special place in my collection, honoring the unique bond between people and their furry friends.
This month’s colours—red, pink, and gold & browns—feel warm and inviting. They remind me of the love that surrounds us, whether romantic or the unconditional love of a pet. Craft stalls during February often buzz with customers looking for meaningful gifts, and I love how my pieces can carry personal stories.
March: Celebrating Women and New Life
March is full of celebrations that resonate deeply. International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day in the UK bring themes of empowerment and gratitude. I find myself drawn to floral shapes, butterflies, hearts and pastel palettes, crafting items that feel soft yet strong—much like the women I admire.
St David’s Day and St Patrick’s Day add a splash of cultural pride and spring’s fresh energy. World Book Day sparks ideas for literary-themed keepsakes, which I sometimes create using resin to encase quotes or vinyl shapes. This month feels like a bridge from winter’s quiet to spring’s promise.
April: Nature and Renewal
Easter weekend and Earth Day in April remind me of nature’s cycles and the importance of sustainability. I focus on pastel colours and shapes like bunnies and eggs, but I also try to use eco-friendly packaging. It feels right to honour the earth while celebrating renewal.
National Pet Day is another highlight, encouraging me to create more pet-themed resin crafts. I enjoy adding customizations like paw prints or pet names, making each piece unique for its owner.

May: Food, Fun, and Bright Colours
May’s themes of brightness and care echo Mum’s gentle spirit, and her birth Month, so lots of Emerald and bright colours this month. making this month especially meaningful. May feels lively with World Cocktail Day, World Baking Day, and National Biscuit Day. These fun food-related themes inspire bright coasters and foodie gifts. I love experimenting with resin crafts that incorporate tiny cocktail charms or biscuit shapes, adding a playful touch to my collection.
Spring’s energy shines through in the colours and designs, making craft stalls feel festive and welcoming. It’s a great time to connect with customers who appreciate unique, handcrafted gifts that celebrate everyday joys.
June: Honouring Fathers and Summer Vibes
Father’s Day in June brings a chance to create gifts that feel personal and practical. I focus on masculine tones like navy, green, and copper, crafting keyrings and bottle openers that can be customized with initials or dates. World Gin Day adds a fun twist, inspiring gin-themed resin pieces that often become conversation starters at craft stalls.
Summer officially begins with the solstice, and the longer days encourage me to explore bolder colours and designs. June feels like a month of celebration and connection, both with family and the wider craft community.
July & August: Sport and Summer Holidays Adventures
July’s Wimbledon Finals and the start of school holidays bring themes of sport and travel. Tennis-themed items and travel keepsakes become popular, often featuring bright festival colours. I enjoy creating resin crafts that capture the excitement of summer events, whether it’s a tennis ball charm or a tiny suitcase.
Craft stalls in July tend to be lively, with families and holidaymakers looking for unique souvenirs or gifts. It’s rewarding to see my work become part of people’s summer memories.
July is a mix of summer holidays. Teacher gifts and personalised items are in demand, and I like to create bright, cheerful pieces that feel hopeful and encouraging. The themes of holidays and education remind me of the importance of community and support, values that guide my crafting and interactions at craft stalls.
End August/ September - This month feels like a fresh start, both for kids heading back to school and for me as I prepare for the busy autumn season- More to come on all the Autumn themes & Events.
Reflecting on the last year’s journey, I see how crafting is more than just making items to sell. It’s a way to honour memories, celebrate relationships, and connect with others through shared themes and stories. I have learnt so much and understood so much more about how to be unique, not saturate the market with the same same as items. Hence why each resin craft I create carries a piece of my heart and the unique moments that they reflect & that they inspired me.
